Wings Wide Open

This project was for the Woven in Kirklees festival and was a collaboration between an art group and a local textile mill who donated samples of fine wool suiting for us to work with. It took place during the pandemic. I became aware of parallels between the work, the textile industry and the pandemic: of change and re-invention, being cocooned, uncertainty, and at the time, the hints of emergence, freedom and inner strength to overcome when wings are opened wide open again.
